This course will explore issues such as Conflict of laws; Shipbuilding, sale, finance, and registration; International trade and shipping documents; Charterparties; Cargo claims and bills of lading; Carriage of passengers; The liabilities of the vessel; Public international law about shipping regulation; Safety and compliance; Marine pollution from shipping activities; and Marine insurance. On completing the module, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to conduct and evaluate research and use what you have learned to offer resolutions that best reflect the situation.
