Children’s nurses work with people from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds, challenging inequalities and social injustices often linked to disadvantages that can negatively impact their health and well-being.
In this course, you will develop into a confident, critically thinking children’s nurse who can provide physical, emotional, and psychological care and support to children, young people, and their families.
Throughout your studies, you’ll actively engage with contemporary research and gain a solid understanding of how to promote health and educate children and their families or carers on how to live healthier lifestyles. You’ll learn how to assess, lead, coordinate, and deliver compassionate, sensitive, and culturally informed care to children and their families at home, in the community, or in the hospital.
You’ll build your knowledge and skills in therapeutic interventions and the pharmacological management of disease, including safe medication administration.
