The MA Education, Children, and Young People’s Mental Health has been designed to meet current professionals’ interests in education and related settings and people aspiring to a career within the sector. The program explores different conceptualizations of mental health, examines the risk and protective factors that influence mental health, and considers the benefits of a whole organizational approach to mental health. You will also engage in meaningful and impactful research and enhance your understanding of the nature of educational inquiry and the analytical processes that support research-informed practice. The blend of students from different professional backgrounds will enable discussion, debate, and sharing experiences in a supportive and welcoming environment facilitated by staff who are experts in education theory and educational leadership. You will also develop essential transferable skills, from purposeful and effective communication to utilizing a range of media, making justifiable decisions in complex and unpredictable situations, and planning appropriate targets for improvement.
